Role Objective
As a Fresher in the Statutory & Compliance team, you will assist in ensuring that Straive adheres to all legal standards and in-house policies. You will be the backbone of our documentation process, ensuring that the company remains 100% compliant with state and federal labor laws, preventing any legal or financial risks.
Key Responsibilities
Statutory Filings: Assist in the timely submission of monthly/quarterly/annual returns for PF, ESI, Professional Tax (PT), and Labour Welfare Fund (LWF).
Audit Support: Help prepare documentation and checklists for internal and external audits (ISO, SOC2, or Labor Inspections).
Onboarding Compliance: Ensure all new hire documentation meets statutory requirements (Form 11, Nomination forms, etc.).
Record Maintenance: Maintain digital and physical registers as mandated under the Factories Act, Shops & Establishments Act, and Contract Labour Act.
Vendor Compliance: Assist in auditing third-party vendors to ensure they meet the legal compliance standards required by Straive.
Reporting: Track compliance calendars and provide weekly status updates to the Compliance Manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: Graduate in Commerce (B.Com), Business Administration (BBA), or Law (LLB). Candidates pursuing CS (Inter) or MBA in HR/Finance are preferred.
Knowledge: Foundational understanding of Indian Labour Laws (PF, ESI, Minimum Wages Act, Payment of Bonus Act).
Tools: Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and MS Word.
Soft Skills: Extreme attention to detail, high ethical standards, and the ability to handle confidential data.
Language: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
