Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Global Mobility Specialist (or Manager) to manage and support all aspects of international employee relocation and global assignments. This role involves coordinating visa and immigration processes, tax compliance, relocation logistics, and aligning mobility strategies with overall business objectives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Global Assignments & Relocation

    • Coordinate end-to-end processes for short-term and long-term international assignments.

    • Liaise with relocation vendors, immigration consultants, and tax providers.

    • Ensure smooth transitions for international hires and assignees including housing, schooling, and cultural integration.

  • Immigration & Work Authorization

    • Manage global visa and work permit processes.

    • Partner with legal and immigration firms to ensure compliance with local laws.

    • Track visa status and expiration dates to prevent lapses.

  • Compliance & Risk Management

    • Ensure global mobility activities comply with local labor laws, tax regulations, and internal policies.

    • Maintain records and documentation related to assignments, tax filings, and immigration matters.

  • Policy Development & Implementation

    • Develop and maintain global mobility policies and assignment frameworks.

    • Conduct regular reviews and suggest improvements aligned with market trends and legal requirements.

  • Stakeholder Communication

    • Serve as a point of contact for employees, managers, and HR teams regarding international moves.

    • Provide expert guidance and resolve issues related to global assignments.

  • Reporting & Analysis

    • Maintain accurate mobility data and reporting metrics.

    • Track assignment costs and provide analysis to support budgeting and forecasting.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, International Business, or a related field.

  • 0–2 years of experience in global mobility, expatriate management, or international HR.

  • In-depth knowledge of international relocation processes, immigration regulations, and tax implications.

  • Experience with mobility vendors and global HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors).
