Job Summary:

We are looking for intelligent, smart, individuals who have good knowledge in EPUB3/HTML5, CSS, XML. Good in reviewing specifications and converting the output to meet the client requirements. Should have decent English communication skills.

Skills Required for this Role:

  • HTML, CSS, XML, ePub and Mobi, Photoshop, OCR.
  • JavaScript and Knowledge in Word processing is an added advantage.
  • Need a good understanding of eBook to ePub conversion workflow and methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Need a good understanding of accessibility standards.
  • Experience in handling epub/ ebook projects.
  • Candidates should have sound knowledge in EPUB2, EPUB3 and XML.
  • He / She will be working on different EPUB technologies including interactive EPUBs.
  • Good knowledge on using DTD and Schemas for creating XMLs.
  • Hands-on experience on working in content conversion systems.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Convert and format content into EPUB2, EPUB3, XML, and HTML5 while ensuring compliance with client specifications.
  • Work with CSS3 to enhance eBook styling and layout.
  • Review and validate eBook conversion output to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Apply accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA) in eBook formatting.
  • Handle interactive EPUB projects and implement multimedia features as required.
  • Utilize OCR tools to process and digitize text from scanned content.
  • Work with DTD and XML Schemas to create and validate XML documents.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve formatting and technical issues in content conversion system.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline the eBook conversion workflow and methodologies.
  • Ensure proper documentation of processes and project requirements.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of JavaScript for interactive eBook enhancements.
  • Familiarity with word processing tools such as Microsoft Word.
  • Prior experience working in content conversion systems.
  • Exposure to interactive EPUB development and multimedia integration.
  • Understanding of metadata standards for digital publishing.
  • Previous experience in client coordination and requirement analysis.
