Job Summary: 

An art editor usually performs the following duties: edits visual materials sent to a publishing house and prepares them for print. This process includes editing and formalization of illustrations, working on the cover and binding, and so on. He/She works on the published materials decoration.

Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Know the methods of developing art projects for published materials.
• Improving the quality of halftone images.
• Re-lettering and retouching.
• Redrawing.
• Know the peculiarities of the editorial processing of graphic materials.
• Color correction of halftone images.
• Profile creation for monitor.
• Scanning color images.
• Familiar with publisher/customer workflow

Desired Candidate: 

• Well-versed in graphic software (Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDraw).
• Expert in scanning, redrawing, and color correction.
• Expert in processing of multicolor artwork.
• Knowledge in Font, PS, PDF standards
