Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Legal Research Analyst to support our legal operations by reviewing legal bookmarks and resources to identify pertinent developments within designated legal domains—Civil Dispute and Merger & Acquisition. This role involves monitoring legal content such as recent case law, legislation, statutory instruments, policy updates, judicial speeches, and current awareness feeds. Selected content must then be escalated to domain-specific legal experts for further evaluation. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to legal detail, and the ability to collaborate closely with internal and client legal teams on a daily basis.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
ï‚· Review and analyze legal bookmarks, feeds, and case alerts relevant to specified domains (Civil Dispute or M&A)
ï‚· Judicial speeches and commentary
ï‚· Legal news and current awareness
ï‚· Accurately forward relevant findings to appropriate domain experts for further assessment.
ï‚· Collaborate regularly with legal experts and client stakeholders via calls, emails, and team meetings.
ï‚· Maintain an organized log of reviewed content, tagging and categorizing findings appropriately.
ï‚· Assist in quality control of information flow and ensure timely updates to the legal team.
ï‚· Participate in daily stand-ups or client meetings as required.
ï‚· Monitor and identify important developments in:
ï‚· Case law and judgments
ï‚· Legislation and statutory instruments
ï‚· Government or regulatory policy updates
Skills:
ï‚· Strong legal research and analytical skills
ï‚· Good understanding of Civil Dispute and/or M&A legal frameworks
ï‚· Excellent oral and written communication skills
ï‚· Ability to synthesize large volumes of information and extract key points
ï‚· Comfortable engaging with clients and senior legal professionals in daily communications
ï‚· Proficient in using legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis, Practical Law, etc.)
Qualifications:
 Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or related legal qualification; LLM preferred.
ï‚· Experience: 0-1 years in legal research, paralegal support, or legal knowledge management. Experience in a law firm or legal publishing environment is a plus.
