Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Director of Account Management to lead and support key client relationships across our publishing portfolio. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the publishing industry and strong skills in client engagement, cross-functional collaboration, and revenue growth. This role will ensure consistent delivery of client goals, identify expansion opportunities, and support a team of account managers in delivering excellent service.

Desired candidate:

  • Account Management: Oversee all aspects of a single (initially) or multiple accounts, including client KPIs, internal stakeholder coordination, and service delivery.
  • Client Relationship Management: Primary client contact, managing communication, reports, governance and calls.
  • Financial Management: Responsible for the P&L of the assigned account, understanding cost structures, and managing revenue.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Publishing, Communications, Business, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of account management or client services experience in publishing or media.
  • Proven ability to lead account teams and drive client satisfaction and revenue growth.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills—written, verbal, and presentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
