Responsibilities:


Test Architect Responsibilities

  1. Framework Design and Implementation

    • Design robust, reusable, and scalable automation frameworks using Playwright (web), Appium (mobile), and tools for API testing (e.g., RestAssured, Postman, or custom scripts).

    • Define architecture for performance testing using JMeter, integrating test scripts and test data strategy.

    • Implement coding standards, design patterns (e.g., Page Object Model), and test data management strategies.

  2. Tool Integration

    • Ensure seamless integration of test tools with CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins, including automated test execution and reporting.

    • Collaborate with DevOps to manage test environments and pipeline triggers.

  3. Strategy & Innovation

    • Evaluate and introduce tools and technologies for improving test coverage, speed, and reliability.

    • Drive shift-left testing practices; define strategy for unit, integration, system, and E2E tests.

  4. Technical Mentorship

    • Provide guidance to automation and performance testers.

    • Conduct code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Test Manager Responsibilities

  1. Test Planning and Governance

    • Define and manage the overall test strategy, including functional, regression, performance, mobile, and API testing.

    • Develop detailed test plans, timelines, and resource allocation for releases and sprints.

  2. Team Management

    • Lead a cross-functional QA team comprising automation engineers, manual testers, and performance testers.

    • Mentor team members, resolve blockers, and ensure resource upskilling.

  3. Quality Metrics & Reporting

    • Define and track KPIs (test coverage, defect leakage, test case effectiveness, execution time, etc.).

    • Provide regular status updates, test reports, and dashboards to stakeholders.

  4. Stakeholder Communication

    • Act as a single point of contact for QA-related discussions with development, product, DevOps, and business teams.

    • Participate in release readiness and production support meetings.

  5. Risk Management

    • Identify testing risks early and implement mitigation strategies.

    • Ensure high-priority defects are addressed promptly with proper root cause analysis.


Primary Skills Required:


  • Design and own the test automation and performance roadmap for the account.

  • Ensure test coverage across all layers: UI (Playwright, Appium), API, and performance (JMeter).

  • Monitor CI/CD pipelines for test stability and reporting, optimizing execution cycles.

  • Maintain test data, environment configuration, and parallel execution strategy.
