Job Summary:
We are seeking dynamic and detail-oriented individuals with expertise in EPUB3, HTML5, CSS, and XML to join our team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in reviewing specifications, converting outputs to meet client requirements, and handling eBook projects with a focus on quality and accessibility. Strong English communication skills are essential to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on EPUB and Mobi formats, ensuring high-quality content conversion and formatting.
- Utilize HTML5, CSS3, XML, and other technologies to develop and enhance eBook content.
- Apply Photoshop and OCR tools for content processing as needed.
- Implement JavaScript for interactive eBooks and dynamic content features.
- Review project specifications thoroughly to ensure alignment with client requirements.
- Manage the eBook to EPUB conversion workflow, including handling different EPUB technologies like interactive EPUBs.
- Ensure accessibility standards are met, enhancing usability for all readers.
- Utilize DTD and Schemas to create and validate XML files for content accuracy.
- Work with content conversion systems, ensuring seamless content integration and quality assurance.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of EPUB2, EPUB3, and XML standards.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and content styling techniques.
- Experience with interactive EPUBs and eBook development workflows.
- Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices for digital content.
- Hands-on experience with content conversion systems and XML validation tools.
- Familiarity with JavaScript for enhancing interactive eBook features.
- Basic knowledge of Photoshop and OCR tools for content manipulation.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration.
- Ability to review and analyze technical specifications to ensure content meets client expectations.
Qualifications:
- Experience in handling large-scale eBook projects across various platforms.
- Certification in eBook development or related fields is a plus.
- Knowledge of eBook accessibility tools and standards compliance.
