Job Summary:The Assistant Manager – Language Editing will oversee the editing and proofreading of various documents and content, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality. This role involves managing a team of editors, developing and implementing editorial guidelines, and working closely with other departments to meet content deadlines and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and train a team of language editors. Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve team performance.
  • Editorial Oversight: Review and edit a variety of documents including reports, articles, marketing materials, and other content for grammar, punctuation, style, and consistency.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement editorial guidelines, best practices, and quality control processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the editing team.
  • Content Quality: Ensure that all content adheres to the company’s standards and style guidelines. Provide feedback and suggestions for content improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with writers, content creators, and other departments to understand content requirements and deadlines. Facilitate smooth communication and workflow between teams.
  • Project Management: Oversee the editing process for multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
  • Reporting: Generate and analyze reports on editing metrics, team performance, and project status. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communication, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification in editing is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience in language editing or a related field, with at least [Y] years in a supervisory or managerial role.
