Pillar 01

Environmental stewardship

Charting a path to Net-Zero across a global footprint of office-based operations and data centres.

Our climate transition plan is governed by an ISO 14001-certified environmental management system and an ISO 14064-verified GHG inventory. It runs on three levers: operational efficiency, an aggressive renewable energy transition, and value chain engagement on Scope 3 — the largest portion of our footprint.

GHG EMISSIONS BY SCOPE
tCO₂e · 2024 compared with 2025
Near-term target

Reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 58.8% by 2034 from a 2023 base year.

Net-Zero target

Reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 90% by 2040 from a 2023 base year.

Value chain target

Reduce Scope 3 GHG emissions 63.8% per USD value added by 2034 from a 2023 base year.

4,645.68 tCO₂e

Market-based emissions avoided through onsite solar, grid-supplied renewables and 3,431 MWh of RECs / I-RECs.

64.576 MWh

Surplus solar exported back to the local grid from our Pondicherry facility in its first eight months of operation.

7,943.5 m³

Treated wastewater recycled and reused for non-potable purposes across onsite treatment plants in India and the Philippines.

90%

Of targeted single-use plastics eliminated onsite under our Policy Against Single-Use Plastic.

We commit to effective resource management

We prioritize the segregation of waste to maximize recycling rates. Whenever possible, we require third-party waste collectors to issue recycling pathway certifications.

  • Of the total 108.4 tons of waste generated in 2025, 14.5 tons (13.4%) have been certified as recycled.
  • 100% of our hazardous waste (22.0 tonnes) is certified treated by authorized vendors specializing in materials recovery.
  • Our e-waste is managed in strict accordance with our IT Asset Management Policy and local environmental laws.

Annual performance reviews were completed for 100% of eligible employees.

Diversity, equity and inclusion

Women hold 27.1% of extended management positions. EmpowHER and LeadHER build female leadership pipelines; RecruitHER and Reignite widen access, including second careers after a break.

Three years running

Straive has been named among the Top 100 Best Companies for Women in India by Avtar and Seramount for the third consecutive year — India’s most established benchmark of workplace inclusion, assessed on policy, practice and lived employee experience.

Creating Shared Value in 2025

Creating Shared Value is our version of corporate social responsibility. Rather than writing cheques at arm’s length, it is driven by employee volunteerism — our people give their skills and time to the communities where they live and work, which is what makes each programme durable.

Project 25:25

Set out to make a meaningful difference in the lives of 25,000 students globally by 2025. It exceeded that target ahead of schedule, reaching close to 29,000 students through 618 volunteers contributing over 3,756 volunteer hours.

Responsible AI, in practice

Our Responsible AI Policy was formalized in 2025 and is managed through three pillars: continuous training via mandatory AI ethics modules; proactive information security campaigns led by our global security teams and Rakshan volunteers; and rigorous tool testing inside a dedicated LLM environment where AI tools are vetted and stress-tested before deployment. Completion of the “Responsible Use of AI” module is a 100% compliance expectation for all global personnel.

Speaking up, safely

Our Whistleblowing Policy carries a strict no-hostility, zero-retaliation guarantee and covers internal and external stakeholders. It is supported by a network of trained Localized Whistleblower Ombuds, a continuously monitored Corporate Governance Inbox, and My Voice Matters — a 24/7 confidential reporting platform. Grievance handling is standardized across the organization regardless of concern type.

Board of Directors

Oversees ESG policy implementation, reviews performance regularly, and guides on ESG-related risk and opportunity.

Executive ESG Committee

Chaired by the CFO under CEO sponsorship, with C-level leaders from Operations, HR, Finance, IT and Legal. Sets public targets and allocates resources.

ESG Core Team

Led by the Head of Sustainability. Runs day-to-day delivery, data collection and public disclosure across GRI, CDP and EcoVadis.

Pillar 04

Sustainable supply network

Recognized with a leadership-level rating of “A” in CDP’s Supplier Engagement Assessment 2025.

Contractual, not advisory

As of 2025, 100% of active suppliers have signed and acknowledged our Supplier Code of Conduct. Failure to uphold sustainability clauses or implement environmental risk mitigation constitutes a material breach of contract and grounds for immediate termination

Three governing policies

A Sustainable Procurement Policy prioritizing low-carbon and circular alternatives; Responsible Procurement and Use of Paper, requiring FSC- or PEFC-validated sourcing; and a Policy Against Single-Use Plastic, which has eliminated 90% of targeted plastics onsite.

Supplier engagement cycle

Mandatory ESG onboarding criteria, supplier training mandates for engagements beyond one year with completion records retained for three years, continuous risk due diligence and self-audits, and ESG metrics explicitly weighted in ongoing performance evaluations.

Social mandates upstream

Zero tolerance for modern slavery, human trafficking, child exploitation and forced labor, aligned to the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and ILO conventions. Suppliers must provide credible evidence of compliance.

A letter to our stakeholders

“This report reflects a deeper truth: sustainability at Straive is no longer something we are building toward. It is becoming how we operate.”

In 2025, we moved from articulating our commitments to acting on them — strengthening our Responsible AI Policy, expanding mandatory AI ethics training across our workforce, and ensuring that as we scale these technologies, we do so with the same rigor we apply to every other part of our business.

The results this year reflect that discipline. Our combined Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions fell to 7,990.98 tCO2e — a 14.90% reduction, at the same time outpacing our SBTi-approved target for 2025 by 9%, keeping us firmly on the path to Net-Zero by 2040. Renewable energy now supplies 53.1% of our global electricity, up from 42% the year before, and we were recognized with an ‘A’ rating from CDP for Supplier Engagement.

Our people remain the foundation of everything we do. We ended the year with more than 19,000 employees globally, women comprising 50.1% of our workforce, and an employee Net Promoter Score of +22.8. We recorded zero reported incidents of workplace harassment across our global footprint, and through Project 25:25, our flagship community initiative, we reached nearly 29,000 students — exceeding our original goal well ahead of schedule.

We are not writing this report to declare victory. Growth brought new challenges alongside our progress as we modernized our infrastructure. We see these as opportunities and tackle them with the same transparency we’ve brought to everything else in these pages. We are proud of what we’ve built so far, and clear-eyed about how much work remains.
